National Footdrill Competition 2011
We are pleased to announce that our unit recently took part in the National Footdrill Competition 2011 and we managed to emerge emerged as 1st Runner-up in East District.
Furthermore, we managed to enter the National Level based on our results. However, we did not manage a podium finish, but our commendable performance earned us a Finalist trophy.
We would like to congratulate the commander, on his spectacular performance and the hard work he has put in to commanding our squad well. Not forgetting the squad that combined precision banging, swiftness, commitment, hard work and finally TEAMWORK to make this result possible.
We would like to thank our YOs, Volunteer Instructors, Past Seniors, and people who have worked together with us and helped us so much in one way or another. We would not have done this without the unsung heroes working behind the scenes.
May we build on this string of success as we learn from our experiences after this competition and once again, GOOD JOB!

To: FDC Cadets and Supporters
All FDC cadets are to report punctually in front of the noticeboard this coming Saturday at
7.00a.m. The attire is House T-Shirt with TK Shorts. Please bring your 1.5l bottle along, as
there will not be water provided. Bring along your uniform as we will be changing in school
before proceeding to Compassvale Secondary School for the NFC 2011.
Ensure that your uniform is tip-top condition and those who still have missing uniform
accessories and have not told me, especially boots that are badly cracked or badges that have
spoiled, please inform me ASAP
Please have a good rest tomorrow and not injure yourself.

Report at 7.45a.m. punctually as the bus leaves at 8.30a.m. Be in school uniform
half uniform as supporters not wearing school uniform will not be allowed into Compassvale
Secondary School. )
Let's put in our best effort as we give our 100% for 8 minutes and make 6 months of training
worth it!

We are Tanjong Katong Red Cross Youth, from Tanjong Katong Secondary School. Our Teachers-In-Charge are Mdm Norlindah, Ms Liz and Ms Ning Ning. We have a long history of double gold awards (EUA and CSA), and numerous awards ranging from Footdrill, to First Aid, to Current Affairs. We participate in many activities - for example, Home Visits, Combined Trainings, First Aid Duties, Overseas Service Learning Trips and many others which are true to our motto: Serve One Another. We train our cadets not only in the different specialisations, but also train and build their character by serving the community through our various community service programs.
