All those who attended at least one day of the day camp are required to write a Report regarding the camp. The Report has to be at least 2 pages long.
Report format:
-Title(18Tnr Bold & underlined,include date as well. title to be standardized)
Report For Day Camp(24/11/14-26/11/14)
-Report writing (12Tnr,each para has to be at least 4 lines, you may leave spacing after each paragraph)
-include name and class on the top left of the report (Tnr12)
Some Points to include for your reports:
As a Cadet
-How do you feel about the training throughout the whole day?
-What do you think can be improved?
-What examples that you can follow in the future?
-Any Outstanding Cadets/Trainer?
-What Valuable skills did you learn from the lessons/activity
-Was the activity meaningful?

-How was the activity/lesson you carried out?
-What areas to improve in your lessons
-Any Mistakes the Cadets made that needs to be brought UP? (ABCD)
Reports are to be submitted to the Tkrcy Email (tkrcyouth@gmail.com) with proper email format. Take note that this is a REPORT not an ESSAY. DO NOT DESCRIBE WHAT YOU DID ETC. Reports will be submitted to HQ so put in all your efforts. Dateline for reports, 5/12/14.
Failure to submit within the time period will result in heavy consequences. This include the sec 4s as well. If you are unsure on how to format the report, please refer to previous reports or ask other cadets within the unit.

There would be a day camp on this Monday(24/11/2014) to Wednesday(26/11/2014). The camp would be from 8:00 AM to 6:00PM Singapore Time. Please fall in in front of the noticeboard at 8AM Sharp. Remember to have your breakfast before coming.

Bearings
•
No dragging of footwear at any time.
•
All are to wear proper footwear for hiking, and Strictly no ankle socks
•
Shirts to be tucked in at all times.
•
Girls with long hair should have them tied up.
Administrative
•
Participants are to report to any trainer when feeling
unwell.
•
Ask for permission from respective instructors And YOs in charge if
they have to leave.
•
All are to have at least one writing pen or pencil at all
times.
Discipline
•
Stand in a proper and respectful posture when conversing
with an instructor.
•
Attention is expected to be paid during briefings and
instructions.
Others/Miscellaneous
•
Snacks, other than food rations provided are not allowed
during the camp.
•
It is advised not to bring valuables. If brought, they will
have to be surrendered and kept safely with the instructors until the end of
the camp.
•
Permission must be obtained for participants to use their
hand phones with a valid reason.
•
All school rule applies

beret
& cap badge
-season your beret if not you will look like a baker and
its awful!
-as for the cap badge, pin it somewhere where the cardboard
(the hard thing inside the beret) is. pin it on top of the line instead of
covering it. how to wear? when you wear your beret, the cap badge should be
above your left eye. and slightly pull down the right side of your beret and
you are done! *most importantly, make sure your beret is the correct size for
you!
Uniform
- shoulder flaps (the
one you put your rank) iron a dead line approx. 1-2cm from the shoulder line on
both sides to make it stand so when you put in your rank, it will look good!
collar girls
-iron it flat down. make sure the V is not so low-cut. guys
collar guys
-it should be standing. *as shown in the picture. (tip: you can use clips
to clip it few hours/overnight before wearing.)
-enrolment badge pin in on the
RIGHT collar. the tip of the kite shield should face the corner of your collar.
-sleeves iron a dead line behind the red colour flash to make the sleeve
‘stand’. *please refer to the pictures if you do not understand.
-name tag wear
it on the right side.
girls -> in between 1st & second button.
guys
-> should be ‘sitting’ nicely on top of the pocket. not covering the pocket.
-buttons apply a layer of transparent nail polish on it. DO NOT use nail polish
remover because the whole thing will be washed away. the pointed part should
point down. *including the 2 buttons on your shoulders.
-badges align your
badges with your nametag. max 4 badges in a row. eg. if you got 5 badges, you
can put 4 (align with the nametag.) then 1 on top. if you got 6 badges, you can
put 4 (with name tag) then 2 on top. national badges should be pinned on the
right side. eg. NHT, SYF, NDP, national camp, NYAA, SANA etc. p/s: badges like
NDP, SYF can only be worn for 1 year.
-socks NO ankle socks allowed!
girls->
white, thin socks. thickness: 2 finger spacing.
guys-> black socks.
-boots
polish your boots regularly. DO NOT drag when you walk with your boots. it will
lose its friction and spoil easily.
-uniform length
girls -> knee length.(alter the length if
needed)
guys -> the pants should not be dragging on the floor.
We hope this camp would be able to help all of you to bond not only as a squad but as a unit. We expect your Uniform to be PERFECT. we will make you re-iron if it is not done properly. we hope you all are prepared and don,t forget to have fun!

We are Tanjong Katong Red Cross Youth, from Tanjong Katong Secondary School. Our Teachers-In-Charge are Mdm Norlindah, Ms Liz and Ms Ning Ning. We have a long history of double gold awards (EUA and CSA), and numerous awards ranging from Footdrill, to First Aid, to Current Affairs. We participate in many activities - for example, Home Visits, Combined Trainings, First Aid Duties, Overseas Service Learning Trips and many others which are true to our motto: Serve One Another. We train our cadets not only in the different specialisations, but also train and build their character by serving the community through our various community service programs.
